BOUCHARD TO CONGRESS: REMOVE OMAR, WATERS AND SWALWELL FROM COMMITTEES BEFORE YOU GO AFTER GREENE
State Senator and Republican Congressional Candidate Anthony Bouchard today demanded House Democrats remove Ihlan Omar, Maxine Waters and Eric Swalwell from House committees before even thinking about similar action against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over comments made before becoming a candidate.
“Democrats want to remove Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) from the House Budget Committee and the House Education and Labor Committee over social media comments Greene made before she was even a candidate let alone a member,” Bouchard noted.
“But no one talks about removing Ihlan Omar or Maxine Waters from Committees because of violent comments made WHILE members of Congress, or removing Eric Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee because of his affair with a Chinese Spy,” Bouchard said.
“Candidates should be judged on their records IN office, not things they said or did before they were elected or even a candidate,” noted Bouchard. “It’s getting ridiculous.”
Bouchard also said that policy needs to be applied to Liz Cheney.
“Deep State Trump-haters are attacking Marjorie Taylor Greene for social media posts and ‘likes’ made before she was even a candidate, while at the same time saying Ms. Cheney should not pay a price for her traitorous impeachment vote cast while she was in office,” Bouchard pointed out. “That’s ridiculous and exactly why people are fed up with the attacks on Congresswoman Greene.”
“Marjorie Taylor Greene is being attacked because she is a strong independent conservative woman who stands up for what she believes and doesn’t let the swamp control her,” Bouchard noted. “Greene is a threat to the gang of insiders who are now back in power in Washington and the attacks on her are designed to send a message to others to submit and comply. Thank God Marjorie is fighting back.”
Bouchard said that if the Greene is forced off any of her two Committee assignments, “the precedent created will be used once we are back in the majority in two years, and I will be an advocate for using this power aggressively. Democrats should be aware of this. They’ve read Alinsky. So have I. Alinsky said to make the enemy live under the rules they wrote and if Democrats want to ramp up the partisan polarization in Congress today, I’ll see them and raise them tomorrow.”
“It’s time Republicans stopped being nice guys and started fighting back. That’s what scares them about Marjorie Taylor Greene. It’s time to stop being pathetic 97-pound weaklings and go on offense for a change.”
Bouchard and Cheney will face off in next year’s primary, tentatively set for August 16.
